Dave is a graduate of Lehigh University with a BA in Journalism, and subsequent experience as a reporter for the York Sunday News in Pennsylvania. He made the career switch to business early on, but has remained well-informed and involved in his community throughout his life.

Dave is Currently CEO of Service Funding Inc. and provides conforming and government-insured mortgage loans to borrowers in the Pikes Peak region. His prior experience during his “suit and tie” period included corporate management positions with ITT, Gulf +Western, Associates Financial and Wendy’s International. He also spent several years as a Saloonkeeper at the Loading Dock Restaurant and Tavern in Aurora, Colorado. (Generating a lifetime’s worth of colorful anecdotes)

His history of service to our community includes volunteering with many well-known area organizations since his arrival in Woodland Park in 1996. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NETCO Fire district, and is a precinct co-chair for the Teller County Republican Central Committee. Still an active Rotarian, he was the Centennial President of the Pikes Peak Rotary Club, and was the coordinator of the club’s Centennial Project, the Rotary Terrace at Woodland Park Public Library.

Bull by the Tail” the name chosen for Dave’s show, comes from an old poster that his Dad restored during the 1970’s. The picture of WC Fields was displayed prominently in his father’s otherwise professional office, and was a great source of inspiration. The quote “there comes a time in the affairs of man, when he must take the bull by the tail, and face the situation” is displayed under the photo, and is as appropriate now as it was then.
