From early memories of his grandfather’s logging operation to General Manager of one of the largest glazing corporations, Terry has been associated with home building and remodeling most of his life.

A native of the Western slope, Terry’s building experience started at the age of 8 years old. After school and through the summer months, he worked as a laborer, cleaning up construction sites and sweeping floors for the local glass shop, making a whopping 50 cents a day! Through the years, his mentors started teaching him the basics he still uses today – from reading a set of blueprints and surveying a site for a foundation, to building trusses for a roof structure.

Terry chose the glass industry as a trade while still in high school and completed his apprenticeship. After a short time away at college he returned to the western slope and went to work as a journeyman glazier becoming a master at the trade and working on some of the largest residential and commercial projects at the time in Aspen, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, etc.

Terry relocated to Colorado Springs in 1982 working as a glazier, however with his construction background, he quickly became a project manager, store manager and general manager of the largest local glazing company in southern Colorado.

In 1989 Terry moved to Woodland Park, shortly after meeting his soul mate Lisa and son Josh. He continued to work in Colorado Springs, but as time wore on he became tired of the commute, and in 2000 he decided to open his own company and Glass Broker was born. Glass Broker is a full service glass and glazing company specializing in automobiles, home and commercial.

Terry is also involved in the local and state HBA and the community:

  • TCHBA – President – 2 years
  • TCHBA – Board of Directors – 8 years
  • CAHB – Board of Directors – 7 years
  • CAHB – Government Affairs – 4 years
  • CAHB – Political Funding – 3 years
  • 3 time recipient of TCHBA Associate Member of the Year
  • Received a Reach Award from CAHB – Associate Member of the Year
  • Serving 5th year on Woodland Park City Council
