Bill was born in Illinois, but because his father was career Navy, he lived all over the world during his childhood. His family finally settled in Tallahassee, FL where he finished school, met and married his wife, Carla, and received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Florida State University.
Bill joined the Army and, after putting in over 1 ½ years enlisted, went to OCS and became an Infantry officer. He became Airborne/Ranger/Air Assault certified, served in the 3rd Ranger battalion among many other assignments, and received numerous awards during his service.
The Army sent Bill to Purdue University to get a Master’s in English Literature, after which he taught the cadets at West Point. He later again taught cadets, this time at the United States Air Force Academy.
Bill began attending the University of Denver College of Law during his last assignment at the USAFA. He began working at a law firm in Denver after retiring from the Army and while finishing law school, and then worked full-time there after graduating from DU.
Bill and his family finally fulfilled their dream of moving to Woodland Park, where he commuted to Denver for a while. Eventually he set up his own practice in Woodland Park, where Bill’s focus is family law, bankruptcy, estate planning, and probate.
Bill is still happily married to Carla, and they have 3 grown children who are all in college. Bill is a Bishop in his church, and enjoys backpacking, running, triathlons, horses, and reading.
